Can I be fired?

Let's say that I start not working on the weekends (in the EU it's illegal anyway), can my BB fire me? How would they motivate firing an employee that did not work when he was supposed not to?

Even in the EU, if you aren't being a "team player", you'll be fired sooner rather than later. The reason will never be that you weren't working on the weekends officially, but you'll certainly have people chasing a broken taillight and finding any other reason at all to let you go. A labor law technicality in a certain jurisdiction won't be a gating factor to getting rid of you if you don't play ball with the firm.
