Can I JR recruit as a SOPH? complicated

I am currently a 3rd year ugrad, however, I am transferring colleges so I am becoming a 2nd year through credits. Meaning I will graduate in 2014...

Can I still recruit as a junior? Will I be blacklisted or something and cannot apply again the following year if I do not get offers?

It depends on where you apply. Some of the larger banks do have sophomore internship programs. However, typically these programs are looking for URM's (under represented minorities) or extremely stellar candidates on paper and they are extremely competitive to get as a sophomore. I don't believe you would get "blacklisted" if you wanted to apply as a junior the following year; but to avoid this happening I would make sure you have some contacts at the firm you have chosen to intern for just to make sure you have an "in" for the following summer.

Also, for a sophomore internship I would personally suggest that you look at smaller firms that don't have such an intensive recruiting process. This will give you excellent experience as a young sophomore and will only help you more when the larger firms see this on your résumé for your junior year internship.

Good luck.

In 1976, James Hunt broke the sound barrier through Eau Rouge only to retire before the event finished... following the race he had sex with three Belgian nurses at the clubhouse near La Source.

You can apply as a junior, but will your school brand help when it comes to recruitment? If you're transferring it must be because your new school provides you an ample of opportunities. Wouldn't you want to use their brand instead?
