Can I use LSE On-Campus Recruitment Studying Abroad?

Considering studying abroad for an academic year at LSE. Will be during my junior year recruitment cycle - will I be able to utilize the LSE OCR while studying? Interested in working in London post-graduate.

Any info greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I am from the US currently

Thanks

Disagree.

Networking definitely moves the needle and so do the niche networking dinners firms hold.

Was obsessed with finance, now do product in tech

I meant for getting interviews. From what I know from contacts in the UK, networking helps when it comes to the final selection, but isn't required to get your foot in the door like in the US.

To infinity... and beyond!

Ok, trying to understand how it is structured then.

Does LSE host these banks? As in, Do LSE students have an advantage for Banking recruiting?

Not really sure how the London scene works recruiting wise.

Thanks

What do you mean by host? Every target school (Oxbridge, LSE, LBS, UCL, ICL) will have their own events, i.e. careers fairs where banks come and present themselves and you can speak to HR and business represenatives. But for large banks, these will not help you with fast tracking. The best you can get is probably name-dropping them on your cover letter. It gets helpful for interviews when you can say you liked the culture because you met X and Y at the fair. Then there are events in September and October hosted by banks themselves which you need to apply for on their website. They will pre-select students and mostly targets students get admitted to these events (think M&A case studies, networking drinks etc). These events can help you a bit more, some do fast-tracking afaik. So being at LSE will give you access to a couple of bank events which may be helpful.
