Things ended very poorly with my former boss recently, I quit, and I am thinking if he can say I am ineligible for re-hire for my next background check. how will this affect my future prospects? Thanks all.

Law grad here, technically no but it depends on the situation. They can’t legally say your ineligible for rehire, out-of-thin-air, if that’s what you’re asking. But let’s say someone was acc bat s*** crazy and threw a chair or something like that at work in front of your colleagues …you know like a real riled up MD or a sexually frustrated immature a**h*** channeling his inner shark at work, then, yea that they could obv say that guy is not eligible for rehire because he’s dangerous to the other staff. Without knowing your unique situation, I can’t comment further. GL!

What if something has allegedly happened outside of work? Not throwing things at people but let's say a heated exchange with a colleague outside of working hours etc
