Canada is LMM
In Canada there is no such thing as true “middle-market” investment banks. Mid-market in Canada is business brokerage bucket shops. In the US, Baird, and Truist are Mid-Markets. In Canada, firepower is called a “Mid-Market” but it’s a business brokerage bucket shop.
What is actually mid market in Canada? I’d put the big five there but they’re actually LMM. $100-300M are deals that you’d see at LMM boutiques in the US not here. This is not a good thing.
Canada is LMM.

Sit down unemployed kid.
Your mom’s unemployed
RJ. Larger than anything other than the banks in Canada, and obviously have access to the US.
If RJ is larger than any other bank in Canada this proves my point even further.

Plenty of large natural resources deals.
You clearly haven’t seen a league table have you? Some Canadian banks execute large U.S deals from Toronto and Calgary
