Cannabis in IB

Back in my university days, I was dealing with GAD and stress, especially in my first semester. I would occasionally smoke cannabis and surprisingly, it actually helped with my anxiety. Sure, I had some occasionally memory recall issues a couple days after, but overall, I felt happier and more laid-back. It even seemed to make it easier to make friends afterwards, even when I wasn’t smoking.

What surprised me most was that it wasn't addictive. I could smoke for weeks, then not smoke at all for weeks. The best part? It seemed to help with my anxiety long-term. After a while, I hardly felt anxious except during exam weeks.

Nowadays, I'm curious if other people use cannabis and how it affects their work. Personally, I think it'd be nice to unwind with a bowl after dinner or before bed and watch a movie. Anyone else do this rather than taking medication? I usually work from home after 7 PM, and my workload's not too crazy most weeks so I can usually wrap up at a reasonable time

Yeah, especially the ind/hybrid ones, those really help me relax. There are a lot of newer strains now, look at leafly for the effects of the ones you’d want to buy

Yes, I’ve seen people switch to prescription cannabis instead of meds, especially for anxiety. If it’s something you’re considering and live in the UK, Releaf offers legal prescriptions - here’s a link with reviews from others who’ve tried their cannabis.

Dont.  I never liked the stuff. in college my roommate was the school's  biggest pothead. I'm handy (surprising for a gay, I know) but I built the best damn vapor bongs for him.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

I’ve grabbed a few things from www.smokeday.com and liked how fast and low‑key the shipping was. Creating an account made checkout quicker, and tracking was handy. The free shipping threshold is low too, so it’s easy to hit without overspending.

Pharma sleep aids kill morning productivity. The only way to avoid the next-day brain fog in this industry is switching to prescribed medical strains with known ratios. Stop guessing with street quality and learn the medical classifications like c1 c2 c3 c4 c5 so you actually know what terpene profiles you're taking for sleep. Getting the right dosage completely eliminates the morning haze.
