CapIQ

The numbers I'm getting out of CapIQ are bogus. When I plug the income statement figures into my model, all the net incomes/EBITDA are off the mark. All the CapIQ Net Income figures are hard coded in, if you actually have formulas calculating NI off of CapIQ rev, COGS, SGA, interest exp, etc.. , its almost always off.

How do you guys work around this? The NI figure shown by CapIQ is the actual net income, but the supporting numbers they provide dont bring you to that NI.

WTF.

Not sure exactly what your gripe is, but you know you can hover over those EBITDA, etc numbers in CapIQ and it will popup and show you the reconciliation to net income right?

The bigger problem is that you can never trust CapIQ 100%. It's great for quick checks or running 100's of comps at once, but if you need accuracy, you've got to do it by hand, from the SEC filings.
