Though capital markets is sometimes recruited separately from IBD, it is still banking. However, expect less hours and more limited exit ops. Look at M&I's capital markets article. It is a product group.
this is for a SA placement. I was gunning for going into an pure corp fin. industry coverage group ... is it possible for SAs who worked in the capital markets group to ask for a transfer to their industry groups for FT?
