Capital Markets Vacation?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what typical vacation opportunity (if any) is standard for BB capital markets analysts? I know that for IBD it tends to be hardly any and that S&T has two weeks mandatory off for compliance issues, but couldn't find anything about what's typical in capital markets. I'm specifically wondering about FX and Rates origination divisions if the groups within CM differ much.

Also, within this group do analysts usually get days off when the market is closed or are they usually expected to come in?

Days markets are closed are treated as weekends in capital markets. Meaning if there is work to be done and you're an analyst you will be in there. Generally pretty standard to take a 1 week vacation after YE comp (Assuming things are slowish).
