Would not recommend. Parking is a bitch and expensive. If it was Palo Alto or Menlo Park, different story.

If your bank is in San Francisco, then no. If it’s in the bay, then yes.
If you do, live in a neighborhood with permit parking and is known for at least doable parking. Wouldn’t expect to use it to commute more just to have for weekends if you already own one. But residential parking permit is the only affordable way to go and that entirely depends on which neighborhood you live in
