Career advice

Can anyone help provide advice for my neighbor from home? He currently attends a tier 1 target elementary boarding school (Chicago Latin / Deerfield Academy / Choate / Exeter). He's currently preparing for on-cycle 2035 and is only planning to intern at a top 1-2 BB group. He's worried that he may miss out on a blast from HSP / CPI. He has already begun networking for GS / JPM diversity summit programs with an emphasis placed on the up and coming "influencer coverage" groups. Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks.
