Career Advice
Hi all, I’m currently 29 and work in lender and structured finance at a regional commercial bank in the South/Southeast, with 5–6 years of experience. I was recently admitted to a solid MSF program out West and have the option to attend part-time while working remotely.
My long-term goal is to transition to a middle market or boutique investment bank, or possibly a private credit firm. I’d really appreciate any advice from those who’ve made a similar switch—whether it’s worth going full-time, how to best position myself, or general guidance for someone navigating this path a bit later than most.
Thanks in advance!
