Career Jeopardy

I am a first year associate working in Due Diligence. However, the work my firm does isn’t financial due diligence but mostly concentrated towards reputation risk and advising PE clients if they should know something else which isn’t declared by the firm. What will be my exit opportunities? How does the industry look at this sort of work experience? I am a little concerned about my career now. Any help is appreciated. (Further details: I am an MBA from tier 1 college in India, CFA L2 candidate, Was an engineer previously)
