Career Transition

Hi all,

I'm currently 1 year into doing Audit @ B4 and hate it. I only got this job due to late exposure to high finance so missed the cycle. I am currently trying to make the switch into High Finance but finding it hard - considering doing a master's at a target to refresh my profile.

I have completed 12/15 of the ACA so have a strong foundation of accounting fundamentals. I am mainly looking to go into ECM/VC however if I am better suited to another role based on my background I am open to taking that step and then moving laterally.

Just wanted to ask for some advice on what next steps to take and what to focus on in order to make this switch and also if anyone can share their story on how they did!

Background: Attended semi-target, studied econ, have strong entrepreneurial experience.
