Hey all, got an IB intern interview upcoming and managed to get a hold of some previous case topics. They are; How do you value a company? You have the opportunity to invest in a solar park set-up by a former farmer from Frankfurt that became allergic to milk. How do you calculate if this is a profitable opportunity? These are some amazingly broad case questions. I am not entirely sure how to best approach this, would any of you know how to tackle/answer these?

> How do you value a company? I think a good start would be to refer to tried and true answers. Valuation typically revolves around intrinsic value (DCF) and relative value (trading and transaction multiples). In a specific buyout situation, you could talk about an LBO analysis and how it can provide a "floor" valuation, or in a liquidation scenario, you could talk about liquidation value of a company's assets. Going further from here, the interviewer could throw in curveballs, e.g.

These are some amazingly broad case questions. I am not entirely sure how to best approach this, would any of you know how to tackle/answer these? I don't have previous experience in long cases during interviews and I am thus kind of worried.
