CCards for Intl
International students, what credit cards do you have? I applied for Citi Forward but they rejected my application because I don't have a permanent residency in the US -- I said I am not a US citizen or Permanent Resident because, well, I'm not.
Any ideas on which card to get if you're an F-1 student? College junior going to SA BB and hopefully convert to FT.
btw, before I came to the US i got a credit card (also from Citi) under my name but branched off from my dad's account. Suggest calling Citi and telling them this to try and get the Forward card?
Try HSBC.. but they will assign you a v small limit.
HSBC is the only one who will give an international student a card?
Not sure about others, HSBC gave me my first one when I was a student.
bump
as long as you have a ssn, you should be able to get a card (albeit with a reduced limit) imo, get a card from the bank where you have your checking account
otherwise, bofa is very good with ccards
