Centerview LA: good FT opportunity?

Does anyone know anything about the Centerview LA office? I know they just hired Skip Paul Jones, but there isn't much else out there. Have they closed anything yet? How many people work in that office? Would it be a good FT opportunity, or is it best to stay away from brand new boutique offices?

Thanks for the help

Depends. If you get in early enough and have an opportunity to work directly with some of the senior guys there, I think it would be great. If you prove yourself and get lots of responsibility, you can get some great rec letters from them later on down the road.

I'd take it if I were you.

there's a difference between an elite boutique and a new elite boutique branch.. i dont know too much about centerview LA, but greenhill LA is fairly lean and does not have the luxuries of the NY branch... but for what it's worth, the 2nd year analyst is going to be doing his 3rd year in Greenhill NY.

From your previous posts, it seems like you accepted an offer to join their NY office. Is there a reason why you are thinking about going to the LA office? I am not familiar with how Centerview structure their analyst program but wouldn't NY be a better place to start? I can confirm that people from Greenhill LA are moving east (Summer Analyst / Analyst).

Any updates on Centerview LA? I haven't heard of anything coming out of that office specifically unlike other elite boutiques in LA that have been closing deals
