CHANCES AT BB FT POSITION?

I know all the BB's tend to convert Summer Analysts to Full Time positions, but what are the chances they'll choose somebody new for their FT's? This isn't just restricted to IBD, I'm asking about any division in general. Are they that slim? What are my chances? I'll be working this summer as a SA in a non-BB firm and will like to eventually work for a BB down the road.

Thanks.

in todays environment it gets tougher and tougher from year to year somehow. Still there is a chance to find something at a BB without having interned there, have seen it many times before even in this environment.

Last fall, only a couple of BBs were actually hiring FT outside their SA class for IBD. It's definitely do-able, though, so just network hard. Try to get "accelerated" interviews before the conclusion of the summer - and of course, leverage a FT offer from your non-BB to get as many BB interviews as possible.

In terms of Accelerated FT recruiting, around when do they occur (early to mid August?) and when should one ideally reach out to his contacts? Is there a first and final round like a typical SA/FT process?

Wondering the same thing, so accelerated FT recruiting gets a shot before the SA's are offered to return for FT?
