Chances for Sophomore programs, non target liberal arts college

I go to an elite (top 10) LAC that's not exactly a target per say for IB. I'm currently an intern in credit services for a large institutional bank (providing lines of credit for PE partner capital calls). I have a 3.4 gpa as an Economics/International Relations major and a recommendation from the CEO of a small Asset Management company that I do the occasional job for (presenting shareholder resolutions on behalf of the company). Is my finance experience as a enough to make up for my not-stellar GPA? I'm Hispanic and I'll be applying to programs such as Credit Suisse's Douglas L Paul Scholarship/similar sophomore internships in the fall. What should I look into as a plan B? Also a varsity athlete, student senator, and some other good ECs if that helps.
