Chances of getting into FT IBD

Hey I know the formatting is messed up (happened when I uploaded it.. not like that usually), so please no smart ass comments about that. Just wanted to get some feedback on what you think my chances of getting a full time offer for one of bulge brackets ibd's. What about S+T? Is it possible to get top consulting offers if MBB doesn't recruit on your campus?

Sorry if my questions are a little all over the place. Basically, I think I have a pretty good resume and know I would have been able to have gotten banking/trading internships had I not been abroad in the spring. I guess what I would like to get a better idea of is how much my Big 4 internship "hurts" me? Can my GPA overcome a "mediocre" internship?

Given that you previously had a banking internship and that your Big 4 experience was related to a PE buy-side deal, you should be fine for getting BB IBD interviews. No one can tell you whether or not you are able to translate those interviews into an offer. Once your foot is in the door, it's all about how well you can sell yourself and past experiences.

Did you participate in building the model/valuation analysis in your banking internship? If so, add another bullet that goes beyond your Cap IQ research and comp set.

gpa to the nearest ten thousandth please you gotta differentiate from everyone else who reports to the nearest thousandth

  • Keep your date ranges consistent. You have month to month ranges, seasons, and single month descriptions. Pick one.

  • I would try to expand a bit on that boutique experience and play it up a little.

Overall, I think your stats and background would give you a decent shot at IB. I'm not big on resumes, I don't have much input other than that.

Under my tutelage, you will grow from boys to men. From men into gladiators. And from gladiators into SWANSONS.
