Charlotte Housing Recommendations?

Will be a 2022 IB SA in Charlotte and wondering what interns usually do for housing. Never been to Charlotte before. An analyst told me that I can expect to make about $30k gross over the summer. How much can I expect in net income? With the current market, how much should I look to spend for housing throughout June to August? When should I start looking for apartments? What areas of Charlotte are best for my situation?

I'm fine with having roommates keep rent down. My family isn't strapped for cash, but I would like to save some money if I can. I'm still looking for roommates for next summer so feel free to DM me if any of y'all are too.

I’ve heard living in college dorms kinda sucks. It’s probably the easiest but a lot of comments on wso have said to avoid nyu dorms. I kinda assumed in general the dorms suck. Internship is Wells Fargo and I believe the address is 550 S Tyron St. I wouldn’t mind something like a 30 min commute.
