Charlotte Summer Roommate

Any summer interns looking for a roommate in Charlotte? Early June to early August work dates for me. PM me if interested. Would like to live closer to Uptown than Queens University and have found some viable options on VRBO and Airbnb.

Honestly, as someone who worked in Charlotte last summer, Queens really isn't that bad. It's literally a 10 minute Uber ride from Uptown, and Uber is super cheap in the city (you'll probably never pay more than ~$7 for a ride). Meanwhile, a single at Queens costs something like $700 a month, which is magnitudes cheaper than any apartment you can get in Uptown itself.

Thanks for the input. Did you typically drive to the office in Uptown or Uber? I'm just thinking that Uber and/or parking might add up to be similar to the price of a place closer to Uptown, especially since Queens is closing dorms with 2 weeks left in my internship this summer so I will have to Airbnb for some of it anyway.

I typically took an Uber. The firm where I worked (Wells Fargo) would pay for my Uber ride home if I left the office after 8:30, which was basically every single day. And I usually split the morning Uber ride to work with another Wells intern, meaning that transportation effectively only cost me $3/day. Not a bad deal.

Last year, Queens closed their dorms a week before my internship ended, but I was able to get them to extend my rental a week extra without much trouble.
