Yeah, I heard the skates were pretty cheap in IB relative to other professions. I just bought myself a pair last week at a top 3 BB.
for sure cheaper. check out what I was given last week, what is this 1985? - http://www.planetonwheels.com/store/images/T/Charger%20Bk.jpg

You must have gotten those at a regional boutique...

man i used to maxxx out my $75 lunch allowance and then some. i ate good, son. those were the golden days. sorry we didn't leave many crumbs for you young 'uns.
Not sure what kind of crappy bank you're referring to, but clearly not any legit firm. Yes times are tough and banks may be laying people off, but they're not cutting internet or moving people to windowless rooms lol.
I never said the people in the windowless room were in IB. :-) The list was a mix of ppl in IB and corp.
And if "entitled" means having access to light and air, then I suppose I am! Nice job, though, the corporations have done brainwashing us Americans so that we feel "entitled" to things like fresh air. LOL. What's next? "Oh, thank you Mr. MD, for not pissing on my desk! You are a god among men!" (Backs out of room slowly...averting eye contact...)
It's called sarcasm, boys, and I hear it's popular in New York City.
Actually not really surprising. One of the top BB banks has some pretty crappy technology and facilities compared to its competitors.
Which one are you referring to? My firm has its IT issues sometimes but that's more of a problem with Microsoft I think. Friend of mine at GS in the new building said everything there works flawlessly so doesn't waste your time from focusing on work (not being sarcastic here).
Definitely true. Banks are cutting on everything because they know that the future bank ROE doesn't look so good. From coffee to high quality paper and color printers to corporate events. In fact, some cut on benefits, heat, food and flights (trips). I don't mean to an extreme, but banks are being much more economical. For some people this is weird because they've been through some good years where everything was in surplus. Also, many privileges and perks are dependent on the group and the MD ---some people still have it very well based on money they bring and connections they have to senior management.
NO TEA!!?!?! faggot brit
