I work in a very business casual office but I still feel weird sometimes when I'm not wearing an undershirt and you can see chest hair through my unbuttoned top button of my shirt. I prefer not to wear an undershirt, but I also think trimming/shaving this area would look weird. Is some chest hair visible out the top of an open collared button down acceptable? Discuss.

I shave mine, so no problems here.
I would recommend shaving it off, but people have already seen it on you so it would be more noticeable to shave it than leave it.
On a side note, chest hair protruding out of your shirt is not attractive. To each their own.
I'd trim it, and then shave any that's nearing your clavicle area/rising up your neck. Won't be as shocking as shaving it all off and since it won't be protruding people won't notice. And if they do, they probably won't care, they'd only care if you're going full Wolf-man or something.
I'd wear an undershirt or just accept your awesomeness. I do both.
I don't do the undershirt. I keep my chest hair but it is managed. The undershirt reminds me of something a dad would rock.
Don't shave it! many a man have fallen into the trap of having skin that's 'as smooth as a babies bottom'. In my opinion that is really unappealing (it actually amuses me sometimes). Wear an undershirt if you must, but dont let Wall Str. take your chest hair. Leave some to remind everyone whose boss. lol. erm, no offense to those who have already shaved and oiled their chests.
