Chief Executive/Financial Officer at an Investment Bank

Inspired by the sheer intelligence of this topic ( //www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/the-front-office-o… ) and general paranoia (?) to segregate everything according to the BO-FO spectrum.. I want to make this simple question to you all; Is the CEO or CFO function at an Investment Bank a Back Office job ???

These days it seems like it has increasingly become supporting function of sorts.. For example, going to courts to save the asses of "rainmakers" (VPs, MDs) for shitty deals(...), or save your Bank's image so that your MDs can continue to make it rain.. or make sure that your bank has enough cash to finance deals and be compliant with Basel Accords etc

Discuss! :p
