Chosing between IB groups

Hey Guys, So I've been cold emailing and networking my ass off. Finally got some conversions with a VP. He wants me to send him an email specifying "what is it that I aspire to achieve through IB and at which group?"

Two things to note: 1. Since I am based out of India, the IV scene is pretty nascent. Don't know which groups are strong , which aren't. 2. The Internship would most probably be MO. So how do I express my desire to transition from MO to FO, without sounding like someone trying to jump ship from his team.

Depends on the type of IB (boutique, MM, BB) you are applying for.. I can help you tell me which one of the above.

Thanks alot. It's a British MM Bank, RBS.

The VP is in credit risk so most probably that would be my team (if he does decide to push my application forward). Though from the research I've done so for, LevFin or M&A seem to be the teams I would enjoy working with.

Again the issue being, the RBS team here is such that I don't know which FO teams are actually in India and which aren't, even though I've been trying to get in touch with many people here.
