Citigroup Energy in London--Is it a strong group?

Hello everyone,

I have gone through the past forums on Citi's Energy group reputation or whether it's a strong group or not, but I have seen that they are mostly related to the team in either NY or Houston.

Anybody have any idea on how strong the group currently is in London is in terms of deal flow?

I have read on wso that power and utilities is really busy, but Citi has separated its Energy group from p & u. I also read that in the past 2 years, some senior people left the firm, but Citi has tried to bolster their Energy presence by making a few strong substantial hires. It would be great to hear where Citi Energy London currently stands. I spoke to a few bankers in the group somewhere in Jan/Feb and they said that they are pretty busy -- not trying to be corny or a douche over here- but no one working in the group will ever admit that it sucks, so I thought I would be better off getting 3rd party opinion.

I would appreciate the input.
