Lead manager is the big name at the top of the tombstone - they found and placed the bulk of the deal. Co-managers are listed after lead manager, and also placed a nice chunk of the deal but aren't featured as prominently on the tombstone. Finally, all the small names on the tombstone are syndicate members who placed correspondingly smaller pieces of the deal but didn't have anything to do with the underwriting process.
