colby econ (financial markets) or tulane freeman school of business
International student deciding between two offers, IB target with long-term optionality between US and Asia (Thailand, Singapore, HK).
Colby: strong LAC brand, decent BB/EB placement, but I’d plan to transfer out after year one or two to a finance target (Stern, Georgetown, Ivy).
Tulane Freeman: direct admit to business school, structured finance pipeline, stay four years, more regional placement.
Questions: realistic odds of transferring out of Colby into a target? Does Freeman’s direct b-school structure beat Colby’s LAC prestige for IB? Any read on Asia placement from either?
Appreciate candid takes.
