I cold emailed a senior MD I met at a conference asking to speak. He emailed back a very short message saying that he is flooded with such request and can not do it with me and wish me good luck.
Should I try to follow up again asking to speak or meet for coffee? (I am actually interviewing with his department in 4 days time.... although unlikely to be interviewing with him)
Or should I just leave it and work hard for the interview.
I think you should thank him, wish him luck with his assignements and work your ass off for your interview.
