cold emailed associate for lunch.......

So,

There is this MM i really want to work for in the area. The CEO is an alum of my university.

I cold emailed an associate (got his email through extensive digging) asking to speak about the firm.

An analyst emailed me back with my email attached to it asking for a resume. How do I proceed? Ask him to speak?

Should I send the CEO a coffee mug/resume?

Clearly the associate isn't interested in speaking with you, so he passed your email on to someone else in the company (or maybe it went through HR to the analyst). Either way, your contact is now with the analyst, so proceed to send him your resume and ask for an opportunity to learn more about the company.
