Cold Emailing Networking Advice

Hello,

I am a non-target senior with past internship experience at a small boutique investment banking role and a boutique consulting company. I am currently attempting to network into larger and more prestigious banks for a full time position. One thing that I have been doing with my outreach emails is installing CRM based trackers that track when the email is opened by any party. If my email was opened two or three times the day I sent it, do you think it is worth accelerating my secondary follow up email to two days after instead of a week later as I typically do?

Thanks, Laughingrock

P.S. One of the particularly small but prestigious firms I emailed seems to be forwarding my email around the office is think this is a good or a bad thing?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if they are re-reading and forwarding around your email without directly replying to you, they are undoubtedly making fun of something you wrote. If you are using CRM software (this is already weird) that makes them aware that they are sending a read-receipt upon opening your message, they would probably find that off-putting.

The CRM software should be undetectable, it inserts a pixel into the email that you cant tell exists when reading the email. When ever the email is opened the pixel is downloaded and a server recognizes that and records that information.
