Commerzbank New York
I just got an offer from Commerzbank AG New York Branch for sales and trading. I am wondering if anyone has more info on Commerzbank in NYC, and the career development and possible career path in sales and trading at Commerzbank? My career goal is in IBD and PE. Thanks guys for any advice and information.
What makes you think that taking an S&T role anywhere will prime you for your career goal in IBD and PE? If you want more constructive advice, information on which desk and whatnot is critical because there are some stories that you can sell. Others...not so much.
Also your background is relevant to answer. If you have a high GPA at a target, this makes the transition more difficult. If you are unlikely to get any other FO role, maybe you consider it. S&T at a relatively small bank seems pretty far from PE if that is the ultimate goal.

Does anyone have any info they could share about them. I'm quite sure its a small operation but they are Germany's 2nd largest bank behind DB.
I know that Commerzbank used to have a Trainee program, which took something like 80 people every year and then gave them choices (London, NYC, Singapore, etc.) to start they career. I don't think they do that anymore though.
This was U.S based? I can barely find any info about this office but I'm certain its there.
