Company Issued Phone
Recently secured an offer for IB FT. Would it be smarter to use my personal phone for work or to accept a company issued phone. I like having one central phone but also want to hedge against any liabilities with personal messages/calls. What do you analysts/associates use?
You have a choice? Usually you are required to use the work phone if given one due to compliance reasons. While it is kind of annoying to have to carry around 2 phones, it is also nice separating work stuff from personal. Having your personal phone constantly going off from work emails could be pretty annoying.
Yeah, I'm torn because I hate the idea of bringing two phones around everywhere I go. But the separation of personal and work sounds nice.
I’m at a BB and we’re not issued company cell phones, at least since covid hit
What about WFH equipment? (Laptops/desktops, monitors, etc.)
in our firm we have to use our business phones for business matters. this was specifically stated in various guidelines. so if you really have a chance to use your own, make sure there is no legal small print that restricts something.
