company profiles vs public information packers
I was talking to an analyst about his day to day activities and he says he compiles a lot of "public information packets" which include 10ks, earnings estimates, conference call trans scripts, press releases, etc for the deal team.
So I guess my question is what is the purpose for creating company profiles vs "public information packets"
I would imagine a public information packet is used to create models...
public information books ("PIB") are used internally, whereas profiles go on the pitchbook. PIB is just mainly a reference tool to easily find a piece of info when needed.
