Conference / Events for Students?

Hello,

I am a rising-junior at a non-target school. Luckily I have been little more proactive than others, so after my second year of college I was able to attain a summer analyst position at a local boutique.

This summer, I have two goals:

1) I am trying to learn as much as I can at my internship.

2) Networking

So I was just wondering, are there any social events / conferences that I can attend to (as a college student) and make useful contacts this summer? Or even throughout the year.

Preferably in LA / SD area, but anywhere else is fine as well.
