Constant lecturing by VP
As an analyst, how often are you receiving constructive criticism / feedback from your higher-ups? With the majority of my associates / VPs things are very pleasant. They're appreciative of my work, often expressing thanks and giving positive feedback. Granted I do mess up / make minor errors sometimes, but nothing flagrant that can't be easily fixed.
Understood that as an analyst feedback is critical for making progress / moving up. Overall I do really value the constructive criticism I'm getting and am trying to quickly adapt so I don't make the same mistakes again.
However, there is one person on my team who consistently goes out of their way to lecture me multiple times a day on the things I can improve upon. It seems like every day they are coming up with new ways I'm not doing my best and constantly messaging me about what I should do "going forward."
Some of these points are valid, but only a fraction in my opinion. How do you suggest I deal with this going forward? I'm trying to be pleasant with this person and say I'll keep their advice in mind, but this back-and-forth is getting quite redundant. It's also important to point out that the rest of my team does not get along particularly well with said individual.
