constant panic attacks and stress because of 1 person on team, advice needed

hi guys i am at first year at a BB in SF. I have enjoyed the job but there is one individual on my team that the entire team dislikes - he is extremely rude, arrogant, etc. I have heard numerous individuals all rant about this person MULTIPLE times.

He is making my life a living hell. When I am staffed with him I have absolutely horrible anxiety. I literally feel like crying and I can’t breathe.

I’ve talked to some people and they said everyone has the same opinion about him, everyone dislikes him, don’t take it personal, just don’t let it effect you at all, which I try my best to do. I even met with the staffer and said I don’t enjoy working in his vertical (I worded it well, didn’t want to cause problems or make a big scene).

Anyone been in my shoes before? Advice? Tips? Thank you so much.

I can relate with this. Every team has a few people who are difficult to work with / have an attitude problem. Best idea is to work with other people.

If you're one of the more competent or harder working analysts in your class, this should be easier, particularly on a larger team, as many others will request that you to work on their projects. If you're not, you may have to end up working on a few staffings with people who are more difficult to work with.
