Conversion interviews from SPRING to SUMMER roles

Looking for insights on interviews for spring insight participants who are interviewing for summer internship roles.

Does anyone know if conversion interviews differ for spring participants vs other applicants? e.g. since the springs are interviewing earlier in May they would have less time to prepare for technicals unlike the others who have the summer - does that mean the interviews for springs are less technical?

Also, do these conversion interviews differ between independents like Evercore vs BB like GS

Every firm differs in some way or another.

GS/Citi/BofA - 3x30 min interviews (across a range of themes) - take place last day of spring week/soon after --> expect less than a standard applicant but right motivation

EVR - fast-track in SA process (on a similar timeline to main SA recruitment but perhaps 1/2 weeks earlier --> expect same as a standard applicant

In short, it completely depends but often less technical when conversion interview is during/soon after the spring week itself.

Good luck!

Thank you, that's helpful! What do you mean by 'right motivation' - will they focus more on behaviourals and so I need to prepare these the most?
