Core finance role in india

Hi, i graduated with master's degree in finance on April 2017(from tier 3 college) I got my first job in a top asian investment bank in financial control division. I accepted the offer because of 2 reasons. 1)hoping to switch to a core finance role such as IB or "equity research". 2) i did not wanted to have any gap between my graduation date and first job. I doubted that this opportunity may not come again and i would have to work much harder to climb ladder from small financial institute to MNC.

i realized that in india big firms hire only from top tier colleges. I am stuck. I have applied for over 50 entry level position in small mid and large banks but could not land a single interview. My resume dont have right educational credential and relevant work experience.

I have taken online courses for financial modelling. Read paul pignataro, joshua rosenbaum & damodaran. I am well prepared to face an interview.

But right now i want to hear from someone from indian banking industry. Any advice which could help me land few interviews will be appreciated.
