Estée Lauder in NYC calls it 'New Business Development'. Their last acquisition was in 2021 so they may be gearing up for another investment but I would imagine that right now their finance teams are mostly focused on ensuring that their existing brands are not losing margin in this inflationary environment.

I'd imagine LVMH, Richemont and Kering have a pretty extensive corp dev team. Look up the biggest fashion conglomerates and that’s the most likely people.
