Corporate AmEx

For analysts given a Corporate AmEx for their daily dinner allowances, cabs, weekend work expenses, business trip expenses, etc., do we get to keep the points for the reward program? Am looking to get a rewards credit card and want to know if I should go for an AmEx or some other type. If I get to keep//rollover money spent/points earned on the corporate AmEx onto my personal AmEx, than obviously that makes the most sense. If I don't, it probably makes sense to go with a different type of card.

Any current analysts have insight?

Wait I am confused, are they letting you choose the card or is it just given to you? I currently have a corporate card, but since it's corporate I don't get points.

You get to keep the points from the Corporate Card. However, in order to get point,s theres a $75 (I believe), which you'll be responsible for paying in order to sign up to get the points.

Ive never heard of a company not letting you keep the points. I signed up and the Amex rep told me I need to spend at least $7500 a year, in order of rit to be worth it.

In addition, I've heard of some neat tricks with Amex to get more points. I was unsuccessful but many kdis in my start class that i told this to was able to get it to work. You can sign up/Upgrade to the Amex Gold card (I believe), in which you'll get multipliers depending on the category. then you can link the Corporate card to that Gold card, and reap the benefits and multiplier for all corporate expenses as well. Fair wanring, Im pretty sure upgrading is rather expensive, like 200-300 a yr. So only do it if you're going to incur a lot of expenses.

I heard of this from a Director at training, he told me to try it out.
