Cover letter format when given essay prompt

Hey guys,

I'm applying for a summer internship at a BB and the firm has required our cover letters to address an essay prompt in x amount of words. Just wondering how this affects the format on the typical IB cover letter. Should there still be a sender/receiver address, salutation, etc? Or should I just cut to the chase here and answer what was asked for.

Thanks for the help
