Cowen tech banking

Wondering what you knew about Cowen's tech group in SF? I know Cowen has gotten a lot of bad press lately on the street and is thought of as a "sinking ship" but I heard they poached three senior tech bankers from Piper. I know a lot of people hate on Piper as well, but they have a pretty solid tech group, for the middle market. I think they took their co-head of cleantech, head of semis and one other senior tech guy. WOuld be curious what you guys think about future deal flow, presence in tech with these new acquisitions.

i havent seen cowen on deals that much, but piper did have a semi-decent group and i think some of the guys jumped from piper to hlhz back in the days.

However, if you are making the jump for laterals, i would say be careful with your choices. Your next platform is the one that's going to give you the exit so pick wisely before jumping.

For MM tech groups in i would suggest look into the following - gca, oppem (i heard their head guy left...not sure), sagent, hlhz
