I see some Commerzbank CDS's trading at around 455 bps as of Friday's close. Credit Suisse by comparison around 250 which is where it's been for a while - also where BNP Paribas and some other European banks are at
This is just my opinion but I don't think it's CS on the brink. Someone jump in if you disagree but it's like Switzerland's Boeing, meaning it won't go bankrupt even if it really should. Commerzbank on the other hand I could see in trouble with rising energy prices basically knocking out Germany's industrial production
