Credit / Equity / [Insert Product Here] Strategy Research

Hi all-

I've seen a few roles working in strategy research groups at BB banks. For example, equity strategy, credit strategy, FX strategy. Could anyone opine on the exit opportunities from these roles?

Theoretically, I'd assume that you'd get a solid modelling background, understand the market fairly well, etc. so off the top of my head, maybe some buyside (markets-based, mainly) roles, capital markets roles, and possibly other Research roles.

That said, I'd be interested in anecdotes / thoughts on how beneficial you think this type of role might be.

Thanks,
BG
