I had an interview with a guy from FIG at CS a short while back he was very positive. He'd moved from an industry leading FIG advisory to CS stating the dealflow was very impressive. It is one of the busiest groups at CS. They did work with Pru on the Pru-AIA deal even though it collapse AIA asked CS to be one of the runners of its flotation. Given how the industry groups work on all types of deals that is an impressive feat.

Are you interviewing for a graduate role? I'm guessing not but maybe!!

HooliganThanks dude, very good to know the flotation bit. I am being interviewed for associate/VP.

No worries and good luck.

I got interviewed by a guy at the same level as you, he was moving from Associate to VP this year, and he was working within FIG with a focus upon Insurance deals. Are you coming from an accounting background or another bank?

I looked at the other thread and a few years back I would have taken Morgan Stanely without a doubt but noe the decision between MS and CS is more difficult. More broadly, CS is one of the 3 best firms in the world at the moment..it has worked on 7 of the 10 largest deals in M&A and is only just behind JPM and GS in terms of deal flow.
