Hi ,
I was charged with Assualt and Battery. This was just a misunderstanding. Case was dismissed in pritrial hearing and records were sealed.There was not probation or diversion or anything like that. My lawyer is telling this will not affect me at all? Will this affect my job/consulting engagements? I am really worreid Please help ?

If it's sealed you should be fine. I had something sealed and it didn't come up in multiple background checks. If there was anything filed in a civil court that's a different story.
I think you're good man. I wouldn't worry about your current job at all.
I just don't know how that will be viewed if you decide to move to a different firm. Obviously the case was dismissed but I would be prepared to answer questions on that just in case HR calls you up.

Didn't see NoTime's post. I don't know what happens when something is "sealed" but if that means that your case will never come up in a background check then please ignore my 2nd point.
