Cupcakes after Intern Initiation

Hey fellow monkeys,

I was recently initialized into the investment bank I was working for. Some people have suggested that I bring in cupcakes or some type of treat to thank the staff for welcoming me. What do you all think about this considering that there are other interns who were pranked along with me?

Thank you.

Sure. Bring in cupcakes. As long as you want to forever be addressed as "cupcake."

I'd be interested in hearing how you were "initialized" and if there's any reason to respond or if the culture of your office would be appropriate for a response of any sort. Generally the best way to respond would say let's go out for a drink. Offer to pay and then let the guys who actually make money pay.

Probably still part of the initilization process

Ok, thanks for the responses! To clarify, I did not think this was a good idea at all. I was just trying to see whether the people who told me to do this were right or not.

look Cupcake, even asking the question means you need to work on reading social cues. You clearly are still getting hazed.

Now go stand in the corner, think about how to react more appropriately next time, and change your username to Cupcake.

I would argue that's your relatives fucking with you. also what the fuck is being "initiated" into a bank? did they dress up in robes and paddle you?
