For the MM - HL and Stephens probably have the most critical mass. I think there is a small Deloitte Corp Fin office down there too.
MHT was acquired by Cowen in 2020, so there are some Cowen bankers down there. TBD if they end up staying as I didn't think it was a great fit.
Correct.
HL - healthcare, C&R, RX, and maybe industrials. High turnover in the healthcare team.
Stephens - substantial presence across most of their groups - almost certain they cross-staff across offices.
Deloitte CF - Acquired Mccoll Partners some years back and has that team in Dallas. Teams are also cross-staffed and generalist.
JPM - regional IB presence and also a very small C&R group there.
GS - Has a real estate financing team in Dallas and a small generalist team.
Jefferies - Has their Private Capital Advisory team in Dallas. A very large office for the PCA team and multiple MDs sit there. Is the erstwhile Greenhill team that JefCo poached in early 2021. Greenhill's PCA was the best on the street and the Jefferies team has scaled super fast.
BofA - Has a regional IB team but don't know if there are any juniors.
If you are interested in the southern IB scene then would suggest looking into Houston IB - a larger set of opportunities in the energy capital.
Cowen - also has a good generalist experience in Dallas
RBC - has a Real Estate group that is similar to IB in nature I believe
